A dusty Sicilian village, after World War II, is the setting for "Cinema Paradiso." A famous film director in Rome, in a series of flashbacks, recalls loving memories of his love and affection for a crusty old film projectionist who gave this fatherless lad not only film direction, but direction in humanity, honesty, and insistence that he set his sights on a larger world. The European cut of the original will be shown. Philippe Noiret stars as the old man and Salvatore Cascio is the delightful child, Toto.
