Computer Education

One-on-One Computer Training - Wednesdays by appointment
Students from the National Honor Society of Chicago Christian High School will be on hand during the school year to provide one hour individualized computer instruction. Stop by the Adult Services desk to register.

John Hojek teaches computer education classes all over the southwest side and now, you can learn from his expertise. John will lead the following four classes and provide laptop computers for all attendees. There is a resident and non-resident fee, no refunds, and limit of 15 students. Non-residents may register one week before program dates, if space is available. 

Basic Email, Monday, November 10 from 10am to 2pm - $20 fee / $30 N/R fee
This class discusses the basics of email. Participants will setup email accounts to be used after the class is over, and discuss security and the advantage of having an extra account. It will also teach sending, receiving, forwarding and replying to emails, as well as attachments. 

Intro to Computers, Wednesday, November 19 from 5pm to 9pm - $20 fee / $30 N/R fee
Designed for the first-time user, this class includes basic instruction on navigating, opening, moving, resizing and command selections common to any Windows program, using the keyboard or mouse. This class also features a brief explanation of what Windows is not.
