Children's Book Week - May 12 thru 18 Please register 1 week in advance for all programs this week. Wednesday & Thursday at 7pm - Read to a Dog Grades 1 to 4. Read to a Dog helps children increase their literacy skills by teaming up with a dog and reading a book. The dogs are registered therapists, trained to listen. Wednesday at 4pm - Animal Shaped Books Grades K to 5. Make your own shaped books. Thursday at 10am - Teddy Bear Picnic Ages 2 to 6. Treat your favorite Teddy Bear to a treat! Saturday - Pinnochio Puppet Show Ages 4 and up. Enjoy a traditional rendition of the well-known tale, Pinnochio. Summer Reading Program: Get in the Game Read! - June 2 - July 26 (Register in person at the Youth Services Desk beginning June 2.) New - a chance to win every week! Receive a weekly drawing slip when you report on the books you've read. Win fabulous prizes donated through the generosity of your local businesses.
