BOARD OF TRUSTEES MINUTES
March 8, 2012

Call to Order:
President Beverly Meyer called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. in the Library, 12501 S. 71st Avenue, Palos Heights, Illinois. Present were Trustees: Beth Barista, Julie Lawler, Marianne Orr, Lois Stanciak, Bill Poore, and Patricia Muller. Also present were Administrative Librarian Elaine Savage and Business Manager Terry Fleckenstein. Absent were Trustees Frank Petrosino and Diana Roscich.

Welcome of Guests:
Jean Fornal, Branch Manager of Standard Bank, presented President Meyer with a check to be used for youth materials.

Minutes:
Trustee Lawler moved and Trustee Stanciak seconded a motion to approve the minutes of February 9, 2012 as amended. On a voice vote, the motion carried unanimously.

Trustee Poore moved and Trustee Stanciak seconded a motion to approve the executive session minutes of February 9, 2012. On a voice vote the motion carried unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report:             
Trustee Poore moved and Trustee Barista seconded a motion to approve the additional February bills in the amount of $57,132.64 for total February bills in the amount of $115,536.67. On a roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Trustee Poore moved and Trustee Barista seconded a motion to approve the March bills in the amount of $34,882.03. On a roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

Librarian’s Report:      
Administrative Librarian Savage presented the annual gift money review. She also discussed ‘Going Green’ with this year’s annual report to the residents.

Both items were discussed concurrently. Library has not completed its audit so can not comply with the request yet.

Library Workers Day: 
Trustee Poore moved and Trustee Barista seconded a motion to approve amount on library gift card for staff for National Library Workers Day. On a roll call vote, the motion passed unanimously. Board Members then signed and wrote notes in cards for staff and Administrative Librarian which will include gift cards from Bon a Pit.

Adjournment:
Trustee Orr moved and Trustee Stanciak seconded a motion to adjourn at 8:05 P. M. On a voice vote the motion passed unanimously.
